  • Clay was alone in a single crate at the shelter. It had one couch pillow for him to lay on. Covered in fleas and poop we took him in and brought him to great health. He was adopted by an amazing family and loves them dearly.

  • Annie was a stray found in someone's yard. They called us because their neighbor threatened to shoot her if she continued to run in his yard. She was a very sweet girl and was adopted by a wonderful mother and daughter.

  • Jake was a sweet boy picked up from a high kill shelter. He was very outgoing and immediately made a huge impact on his new family.

MISSION

Our mission is to rescue dogs in high kill shelters and provide them with the necessary vet care and training needed to become adoptable. 

We are a non-profit dog rescue serving Monroe, NC and the surrounding North Carolina and South Carolina areas.

Griffin K-9 Rescue is located in Monroe, North Carolina. We work with many shelters in the surrounding areas. Our goal is to rescue dogs from high kill shelters and provide them a temporary home until they are adopted by a great family. We immediately take all dogs whether they were owner surrenders, strays, etc. to the vet and make sure they are healthy enough to be adopted. All adoptable dogs can be found under the "Adoptable Dogs" tab above. We have experience dealing with dogs with heartworms, parvo, allergies, etc. We cater to all breeds of all ages! We are very small right now as we do most of the rescuing and fostering ourselves in our home but we are always looking for new fosters to join our team!
We pulled Opie from a high kill shelter where he was in a small crate laying on the cement floor.
Fitz was a stray, found chasing cars on the highway. He was malnourished and had scabs on his paws from running on the street.
